Design and application of the stag horn method in education and teaching

Abstract

Background and Objectives: Accordingly, the researcher, based on his bio-education, tried to use the deer antler method as a method by which the learner can express his mental phenomena in separate but interconnected axes. Methods: Considering that this study is a fundamental Research and was used for the first time in education, the quasi-experimental method was used for its efficiency and usability. According to the quasi-experimental method, the statistical population of history students entering 1402 at Farhangian University was divided into two experimental and control groups by assignment and total sampling method. Data were collected through observations and notes of the instructor, practical assignments, and presentations of students in the classroom. Findings: The results of the analysis showed that the pre-test mean was 15.2903, which was significantly different from the post-test results after implementing the deer antler method with a mean of 17.3548 (pretest-posttest=2.064). Also, the T-test value (T=4.015) with a degree of freedom of 30 (df=30) showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. Conclusion:
