Abstract

The Ilkhans, who were descendants of Hulagu, the grandson of the Mongol Genghis Khan, formed a state in Iran and to some extent overran the traditional borders of Iran as in ancient times, and on this basis they are considered an Iranian state whose government dominated Iran with power for about a century. The Ilkhans had their own unique foreign policy towards their neighboring states, such as the uluses of Joji and Joghatai, as well as the Mamluks, who represented the Arabs. None of the books and articles have addressed this from a historical educational perspective. The purpose of this research is to examine this policy and its components. Its necessity and importance for historical and political science researchers and scholars is the educational role of this policy based on historical education. In addition to implementing a precise and determined foreign policy, the Ilkhans of Iran sought help from other aspects, such as paying attention to society, economy, and religion, in order to better preserve and then expand their territory. Today, by studying historical and research texts, one can better understand the aspects of historical education of this government.
