Abstract
The most important tool of the education system for creating a national and Islamic identity in the minds and consciences of students is textbooks. From the perspective of curriculum planners, "history" textbooks are one of the important tools for achieving this goal, as they have the capacity to transmit and create a national and Islamic identity in students.
To what extent and how have the components of Islamic-religious identity been crystallized in secondary school history textbooks after the Islamic Revolution? And to what extent have they been successful?
The main method of this research was content analysis and its statistical population was all secondary school history textbooks that were taught from the academic year 1357 to 1387 AH. The results obtained from this research:
The components of Islamic-religious identity have been reflected to a large extent in secondary school history textbooks after the Islamic Revolution, and the content of these books has been successful in shaping and transmitting the concepts of Islamic and religious identity to students. And these courses have had and continue to have a special role and position in achieving the desired question and goal.
